Fear is much like a knife. A knife has an edge and two sides. Fear is much the same, there are two sides to this emotion. One side is good fear and the other side is bad fear.
Fear is there to protect us. To keep us safe. To stay out of harm's way. But fear can also stop us from doing what we want in our lives. We start to worry, We imagine the worst case scenarios when there isn't any imminent danger. Fear of failing or doing something wrong, or making the wrong decision.
Like a knife should be handled with care and awareness, so should fear. Once you know how to recognize and handle fear, you can then use it to your advantage.
